Not quite sure what exactly you are looking for. The turbo is spinning on the 7.3 any time the engine is running. There is nothing that engages at a certain speed.

I am driving from Fla to Michigan right now and am trying to see if there is a point that triggers extra fuel consumption ... I can go about 75 before I go over 5psi of boost .... wondering if there is a point I should look at to help the mpg's ...

I'll tell you what I do for long highway trips. Cetane boost and a quart of 2 cycle oil per fill up. I try to keep the engine around 2000 to 2200 RPM and use the cruise control as much as possible on the flats. In the hills I don't use cruise control and I try to keep the tranny in OD as much as possible. I can get 25mpg this way.

You are a little heavier than me, but with your custom tunes this should work.

What does the 2-cycle do for you?

It helps keep the fuel side of the injectors lubed. It will make the engine run quieter.

When the refinery removes the extra sulfur to make ULS diesel, a side effect of the process makes the resulting fuel slightly less slippery. The fuel side of these injectors are lubed with the fuel.

For fuel efficiency, the bigger bang for your buck is probably the cetane rating booster.

So the main reason to put the 2 cycle oil in our tank of gas is just to lube those injectors?

Any real chance of long term damage putting that into ones tank?

No. 2 cycle oil is engineered for combustion chambers. The 7.3 will burn all kinds of fuel without mods. Lots of people dump their used motor oil through a filter then use it as fuel for these engines. Hence the term "oil burner".
