January 2011 - General Chat Thread!
Joe I need to go out in the unheated garage and remove part of a tarp that I sucked into the snowblower on my Cub tractor the other night. Hopefully I did not screw anything up because I need to finish snowblowing the snow from Weds. thru now, but they are talking that I may get another foot of lake effect off of Ontario.
Funny thing is I was JUST THERE last night returning the brake caliper tool from doing the rear brakes on the mini Cooper last weekend!...I guess since things run in threes...I better check the rear brakes on the Ex now!
I should have also milked that job a little longer...as now I have to also hang a shelf in the laundry room!!!

A man's work is NEVER DONE!
Tiny thanks for stopping in...good luck with the snow blower!
Scratcher...nice link...THANKS!
Later guys,
joe.
while kicking a stone.........
can't even remember why I multi-quoted this........

Okay...yes I do arm my girls!
I just picked up my youngest daughters first firearm...a Marlin 1894 lever action chambered in 44 magnum...and here she is with it!
I still have to put the scope on it...but for now...I think her grin says it all...don't you!
Joe.
Well I turned the heat on in the garage this morn to change the tranny fluid in the new to me SD.
Went out later to change the tranny fluid and the drain plug just spins. Wow, can't believe it. Someone knew of this.
I'm 40 min from any town so I'll try to make it to town this week with to get it fixed. What a day off of no accomplishments so far. Kids sick so can't go far from home.
The Jayhawks play in a bit and then the Steelers. Things got to get better. I'm only here now becaues I tried to do some readin about this tranny that has started to act up.
Have a great day gents, catch ya on the flip side.
You guys are way too productive for a off! I need a plumbing expert here, I hate plumbing and any time I touch it I make things worse. The faucet handle on the master bath shower stall quit, I took it apart and tried to make sure it everything was snug... surpise, I made it worse... Took me 10 minutes of fiddling to get the water to shut off. Guess it's time to call a pro! House is about 6 years old, I would have thought things last longer than that!
Fortunately there are two other showers in the house, but I know that excuse won't be satisfactory to the wifey, lol.

She is VERY excited...can't wait for the .22 to come so she can go shooting with dad...
I'll be getting the rings and base for the scope next week...scopes should be here next week too...
I will also pick up two bore snakes since it will be easier to clean the rifles that way...

Wish I was closer...me and plumbing get along...thankfully I'm handy with most everything around the house...you name it, I do it...not that I always like to do it but thankfully I CAN do it!

and I agree with Steve...it should have lasted longer than 6 years!

I'm sure I can figure it out, if I buy a book, then slowly disect everything... I just have a history of screwing things like that up since I'm slightly impatient. The last thing I want is a broken pipe inside the wall, flooding the finished basement below.
I think I'll have it pretty easy today. Gotta run to Home Depot for some light bulbs and furnace filters, get me some food on the way home and then watch the Steelers and Packers lose.
Then it's back to start the work week tomorrow!
I just got done replacing 55...can you say 55 cabinet *****!!! And some of them were more tricky then needed because of screw lengths/etc...so I needed to work thru those problem children...
Also after taking each of the old ones off I had to touch up the stain behind...so that slowed things down too...
Plus CUTTING 55 little tiny baggies and individually wrapped screws...
Okay I think you got the picture will all my whining!

The good news...she's done...and they look pretty good.
The wife didn't like the "polished brass" look any longer...so now we have brushed/satin nickel...
The things we do for adult relations!

As they say...if momma ain't happy...ain't NOBODY happy!
Hope everyone is enjoying the day!!!
Time to shower and head to church...
Rob...you need more friends in INDIANA!!!...okay you just need friends that know how to do PLUMBING!!!
later gents!
Joe.

Well got the headers bolted up to the motor and have a few more things to do before this project is done. The son had to go to work so the rest will have to wait till tomorrow and sure I could have finished up but then the son would not learn!
