You could rig a flapper over the air intake to shut off the air and kill it pretty easy kinda like the emergency shut downs on the old Detroits. Plus that would be a good anti theft device if you left it closed when not in use, no one could steal it unless they knew to open the flapper. Prolly wouldn't be too good for the turbo rigs tho as it would suck the oil seals out of the turbo eventually.

It would be a lot easier to put a manually controlled valve on top of the IP. The internal pressure will shut the engine off just like the current FSS.

I remember the first Detriot I came across they fired it up and this old mechanic kinda grabbed me and said 'if that thing sticks wide open you may wanna be back here with me" I kinda blew it off till I had an injector stick on a 4-53 a few years later then I knew what he was thinking
