Replacement shocks

My 01 is about to turn 200k miles, i know thats little compared to some of the miles you guys put on. but at 200k it's going to see my trusted Ford certified mechanic for a checkup, and im working to replace some of the suspension. I deffinatly want to replace the shocks and coil springs. but anything else i should think about replacing suspension wise? It is a work a truck, and i have seen my dad load 2 tons worth of materials in the bed on several occasions

You're in the 99-03 (diesel) section, so we have leaf springs up front, not coils - that started in '05. You'll have better luck in the general "Super Duty" forum or even the 03-07 6.0 diesel forum, since at least some of the guys & gals there have the same suspension setup as you.

FWIW, I went with Bilstein shocks and love them.

Bilstein is what i'm getting next. I'm even looking at putting air bags on also.

I was looking at the blistein shock, and my 01 7.3 is 2wd and has coil springs in the front

It would help if you added 2-wheel drive to your sig for your '01.

I have both 2-wheel and 4, so I automatically think 2-wheel drive whenever I see a coil spring question, but the first thing I did was look at your sig to make sure I was correct. When I didn't see 2-wheel listed, I too wondered if you had the wrong section.
