gpr LED purpose

Just installed it, but not sure, its purpose. With key to "on", the W.T.S. light comes on, and so does the LED, but when W.T.S. goes off, the LED still stays lit for atleast 45 seconds. DO i wait til led goes out, to fire truck..........total newb on tis one.

You can...most times you're gonna be fine starting the truck after the wts light goes off. The LED stays on as long as the gp's are activated

The WTS light is just a dummy light. It doesn't show the actual time that the gp's are activated by the gpr. The LED mod will show the actual time that the glow plugs are on. You don't have to wait until the led goes off. The colder it is outside, the longer you should wait.

The light is more of a way to diagnose a bag glow plug relay from the seat of the truck as far as I'm concerned.

This is exactly the reason I installed mine (even though I have a Stancor relay).

Why did you install something on your truck without first knowing its purpose?

It was anutha mod!!!

The reason for the thread, was because, from read'n post/threads about it, i'd assume it had something to do, with waiting for the light to go, then start it, but thru me off, when it was about a minute after the wts light went, that the led finally kicked off.
