oh i agree with that statement 100%^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ but that being said... some vehicles do have there gremlins

i love my truck... engine and all, thats why i do what i can so that i will have her a long long time

Yeah, my poor truck, I think another rust spot appears on my wheel wells everyday, I got to replace the front ones....

a much better choice for an inline is the international DT360. 1000% better engine than the compart.

about the same. you need to make a set of motor mount towers.the nice thing is you can use almost any trans as long as it has a SAE #2 (i think) bolt pattern bell housing.
i am almost positive it uses the SAE #2 bell.

iirc i believe starmilt had a posting on here a couple months back about bell housing bolt patterns... it was a good post

are they as common to find?

they are a bit on the rare side, because most are still on the road.
mid sized international trucks like the 4700 in the early to mid 90's had them.

thats what i figured some of the delivery trucks from our distributors have them, i wasnt sure if they were any other types like the older chevy topkicks (i know some of them had the cummins in them) or the bigger F-superdutys or what not.

size wise are about the same dimensions of the cummins?

Actually its not bad at all, put the adapter plate on, make motor mounts or buy them, alittle bit of wiring, just about the same as the idi, move cross member back get back shaft shortened, front shaft lengthened and your home free.
