Ha, yep we are.
I just put new rubber on the Ox last month, to the tune of $1300+ and the wife almost had a heart attack. She's not an enthusiast by any means (she actually doesn't even know how to unlatch the hood on her Civic) so when it comes to "mods" I have to be creative, patient, and need to have good reason. I think the tuner will be easier to explain as compared to the HIDs.
Sounds like yours and my wife are very similar.
My wife is still complaining about the $150 WeatherTech liners I put in the truck 4 years ago.
You need a tuner because it optimizes the way your new tires work with the truck, and you need the HID's to be able to see better and drive more safely.
On top of that, replacing your halogens with HID's means you'll never have to flush and refill the halogen gas anymore
I ordered the slim ballast ones on the 2nd of Jan and they finally shipped today. I guess they had enough to cover my order. I kind of wished I ordered the other ones though..they're ten bucks cheaper and have the same warranty.
I'm a little bit ticked off at the time it took them to ship though..
+1. I'm not impressed with the lack of communication. They said they were working on the order and said sorry for not sending the email. They said the slim ballast kits are one back order 4-6weeks. So keep that in mind when making a purchase. My suggestion is to call and ask what they have in stock.

I also called and was told my order would ship on the 10th and ended up not shipping for another two days. Hopefully these lights are worth it because I don't think I'll be ordering anything else from the company.
and according to their site the HID kits still has not shipped. looks like i will be calling again tomorrow. The dude told me he had them in stock since the other set was on back order. I can deal with items being late etc... but i cannot deal with liars. ill give them the benifit of the doubt though and wait till tomorrow.
That's weird.. something must be going on with their supply. I got mine shipped and delivered within a week-and-a-half using standard freight on 2 separate occasions before the holidays...
just got them via Fed-ex today and installed today. took me a bit longer than i expected. Couple hours to b e exact. But im picky with my wiring. also took the time to mount the 4 ballasts' that i had with the order. not really impressed with the way the 9005's fit into the fog but ill guess they will have to do. every descrepancy in the headlights that the previous owner put in ( blacked out harley edition lights ) shows. so i can forsee a projector upgrade maybe around income tax time.
havent had them on yet in the dark but will be going out to dinner tonight and will take the truck. i havent aimed them yet so im sure ill **** some people off, but hey......its what im good at. overall though, they seem to match. lighting is brighter and whiter. took them longer to ship the small box that i got but so far so good.
