Good suggestion! Reminds me of a funny situation when I was looking for a small pickup back in 1983. I checked out 2 foreign models before buying my Ford Ranger. I think one was a Toyota and the other a Datsun. The only way I could fit in the Datsun was IF it had a manually operated sunroof and I could only get my thighs under the steering wheel of the Toyota if it had a tilt steering wheel!

I guess I should have said that having the shade open will give you a sense of more clearance. Unless your natural position is leaning to the right, the low headliner is still goign to snag you. At least it doesn't feel so confined with it open.

I know Deere, just trying to be that half full glass guy... When I pick it up I will be doing a bit of hood liner research to see what rests behind...
