Wonder if above posts all have the same setup with the air conditioned seats and moonroof? Making me wonder if I have a faulty seat motor or some other problem?
I would never take things like that wrong. Thanks for being honest. I think I must have a bad seat motor or the air conditioned seats and moonroof combination is the reason. Thanks.
I've been biting my tongue and not responding to this one, but here goes anyway. I'm 6'2" and my truck is equipped with heated/cooled seats and a moonroof. I have roughly a 33" inseam so yes some of my height is torso related. With my seat in the upright position my hair (what's left of it" sometimes touches the headliner unless I slouch down in the seat. Most ball caps will touch the ceiling and I don't even try with the hardhat.
It has to be a result of all the gadgetry located under the seat now for the cooled seats. My 06 had a moonroof and I definetly had more room in that truck. The seats just don't go down as low as they did on previous models. There was a thread on this topic a few months ago directly relating to not having Stetson room in the new trucks.
Just went out and tested, just about the only way I came up within Inch of the Sun Roof was if I put the Seat back all the way up, so I guess it is possible. Maybe I lay back to much in mine to get the same effect. But I do know this I am really comfortable and when I turn the heat on in the seat, I am in Pig heaven....
I have 2 other trucks both Chevys and these new fords drive like a dream. Interior is superior than my Chevs. I am 99.9 % thrilled with this truck. Only question is the seat.
I have the same setup in my rig and I am 6'2". I did notice some slight rubbing when I first got the truck, but since I have adjusted the backrest to a more comfortable angle, I have an inch or so to spare... lack of headroom is definitely caused by the sunroof in these trucks.
I'm 6'8" and have no head room problems with a cowboy hat
Do you have the moon roof?
Guys PLEASE calrify if you have a moon roof. I believe that you lose at least 2" with the moonroof. I commented on this 2 months ago. Everyone seemed to agree. Nothing I can do now, though.
I'm 6'2" with a long torso. My truck has the heated/cooled leather, no sunroof, and I have about 2" of headroom to spare. I test drove a truck with a sunroof and it was too tight. I fit in an '09 with a sunroof no problem, and had initially presumed I would fit in a sunroof-equipped '11.
I can't really add much to this because I'm only 5'11..so obviously I have plenty...one thing I can tell you is the heated and cooled seats has zero to do with the seat height. If there is any difference its caused by the sunroof.
