Cool 2011 seat height

Wondering why Ford was so silly with there seat height. I am 6 feet tall. I have done just about everything to get comfortable in the truck. Seat is as low as possible and my ball cap still hits the roof. Wondering if Ford is going to fix this. I think the air conditioned seats and the moonroof play major roles in this. Still not excuse for a 60 thousand dollar truck to have such a stupidly high seat height.

I am 6' 2" and have plenty of room. Between the seat and peddle adjustments I am very comfortable even with a heavy winter hat on.

Hmm, I don't know. I am 6' and I can get in with a hard hat on with no problems.

anybody in the 6'2" range and wear a hard hat in the truck? In my 4Runner my hard hat acts as a second suspension on the roof......

Sounds like you are one of those folks with a tall upper body. I'm 6'4" and 265 and when I test drove a KR I had no problems. My brother is 6'7" and 310 pounds. His only complaint on his 2008 is that he always hits his head on the overhead console in his truck when he gets in. I think the new overhead consoles sit higher.

Wonder if above posts all have the same setup with the air conditioned seats and moonroof? Making me wonder if I have a faulty seat motor or some other problem?

BB - Did your ball cap hit the roof liner when you test drove it? Kinda sucks that you spent $60K and your head hits the roof.

I'm just a tad over 6' and seem to have plenty of clearance. Your inseam must be, what 28? Just kidding.

PLEASE don't take this the wrong way! When power seats became standard on my company cars, I got into a Taurus and literally did not fit. My head was right on the liner. I called a buddy of mine and he asked if I had the seat height adjusted down. Dah! Felt like an idiot! But perhaps you have a busted seat height adjustment motor. Have you tried the passenger seat to see if there is a difference?

I have the same problem, I am 6'4" and my head is approximately 2" from the headliner. When I test drove my new 2011 King Ranch I thought the seat was way too high and tried to adjust it down but it was down all the way. The problem is the sunroof which I think takes up much of the headroom.

I would never take things like that wrong. Thanks for being honest. I think I must have a bad seat motor or the air conditioned seats and moonroof combination is the reason. Thanks.
