Coolant from overflow bottle.

06 F250 6.0l 60K miles

It looks like some coolant is belching from the cap on the degas bottle.

My Temps are good and I replaced the cap once already.

I havn't towed anything yet.

Any advise would be nice.

Thanks
Levi

What specifically are your temperatures and how are you reading them?

Are you stock or not?

Does your fan ever kick on - that you can tell?

What is the coolant level in the degas bottle?

Oil temp is at 200 and coolant 180-190. I have the edge insight gauge. I can't tell if the fan is kicking on. I put a act tune on it Monday. But I've had this before the tune.

one other thing...I just had the truck at the dealer, all the injecters were replaced and 2 seals were replaced Bed plate block and rear main. Including a bunch of checks. Would they know the head gasket was shot?

Not if they weren't looking for it. But that may not be your problem.

I'm not getting any codes using the sct and the edge insight. Before I replaced the cap I would hear a whistle when I let off the pedal. Now after I put the replacement cap it sounds like venting air????? hard to explain the sound now.

I don't think you can receive PMs yet, but I might know somebody looking for an SCT tuner.

If the truck was purchased in Oct.-Nov. 05 it would be over 5 years.
