Brand loyalties?
Jeans- Wrangler or Carhartt. Never Levi's, because I wore too many of them out in h.s.
Coats- Carhartt or Dickies chore coats. Carhartt zip-up sweatshirts.
Boots- Wolverines for everyday wear, Tony Lama for dressing up.
Shirts- Dickies T-shirts, Carhartt button-downs.
Hats- Resistol cowboy hat for "good", about 100 "gimme" baseball hats from various seed corn salesmen for everyday. One Carhartt stocking cap for cold weather.
Beverages- Miller Lite beer, Coca-Cola, Jim Beam bourbon, and coffee (Folger's at home, don't care what brand it is at work, because it's free... lol).
Tractors- International Harvester. I've also had a Ford and an Allis-Chalmers.
Anybody else?
Jeans: Carhartt and Wrangler.
Coats: Carhartt and some other smaller brands.
Boots (general purpose): Justin Original Workboots
Dress-up Boots: Justin Traditional Series
Heavy work boots (for the sawmill and other heavy jobs): Brahma Steel Toes (cheap but tough)
Shirts: Dixie Outfitters, Wrangler, and cheap shirts for working in.
Hats: Resistol (white) and Bailey (black), and again, free hats from shows.
Drinks: Mountain Dew, Cheerwine, and Coca-cola
Machinery: John Deere and Farmall Cub (want one, but don't have one yet!)
As far as being a "blue oval" guy-that sounds about as stupid as being a "bowtie" guy.
I swear-if Chevy put a bowtie on a big lump of crap-there are people who would buy it...lol.
Same goes for Ford, and every other brand. Not me, I'm not so loyal to Bill Ford or anyone else -that I'd be willing to fork over my hard earned cash in exchange for garbage.
There really is no "better" anything- depends on what you like,I mean who do you know that really NEEDS a 40,000.00 truck of any make?
My wife likes French's mustard,but my mom won't "make do"with anything but Gulden's....personally I could care less...lol.
I do prefer Heinz ketchup, but not enough to go around lookin stupid by bashing all who like Hunts ketchup better.
I like Dewalt and Milwaukee powertools.
I like Redwings boots-(tell me who would'int with a lifetime warranty, all for 250.00)
I like Browning, Remington, and Bennelli shotguns.
I like Sauer, Winchester, and Weatherby rifles.
These are my preferences, but for hunting purposes a poormans Mossberg or Savage will do just as well-and being a fellow shooter I certainly would not bash his gun as being inferior to mine.
As far as clothes go, I really don't care,it's enough for me that the nice ones I do have just fit well and look good.,more often than not though I'm dressed in rags, and the brand of rag i'm wearing certainly won't mean chit to me...lol.
What really gets me is when I see these people walkin around in shirts that say TOMMY.....LOL( sorry but I gotta laugh at that!)
I mean hell ,I can can put my name on a shirt "FRANKY" ..lol, then peeps could pay me 40.00 each to go walkin around with my name on em...lol.
I don't wear cowboy hats ,but if I did I suppose I'd buy a nice one-though I'd have to take the salesmans word for it-as I don't have a particular brand I even know about -so that I can be biased for it!...lol.
Regards.
Since we are on a Ford truck discussion board, one can assume we are are all loyal Blue Oval people. So does your brand loyalty extend to other areas? Here's a few of mine:
Jeans- Wrangler or Carhartt. Never Levi's, because I wore too many of them out in h.s.
---I'm the same here. Can't beat those brands for durability.
Coats- Carhartt or Dickies chore coats. Carhartt zip-up sweatshirts.
---Never wore any dickies coats but they look pretty good and sturrdy. I wear carhardt bibs and coat in the winter.
Boots- Wolverines for everyday wear, Tony Lama for dressing up.
---All my boots are military issued so I just wear old ones that aren't nice enough to shine up.
Shirts- Dickies T-shirts, Carhartt button-downs.
---Any insulated flannels work for me in the winter.
Hats- Resistol cowboy hat for "good", about 100 "gimme" baseball hats from various seed corn salesmen for everyday. One Carhartt stocking cap for cold weather.
---I prefer the John Deere cap when I'm not wearing the ford cap.
Beverages- Miller Lite beer, Coca-Cola, Jim Beam bourbon, and coffee (Folger's at home, don't care what brand it is at work, because it's free... lol).
---I'm kind of a fancy guy with coffee. I get gourmet and grind my own. Of course at work I could also care less as it is free.
Tractors- International Harvester. I've also had a Ford and an Allis-Chalmers.
---We have a international 6588 2+2, a massey ferguson 1155 and a John deere 4010. The hydraulic system in the IH is horrible. The Massey Ferguson hardly breaks but costs about three times as much to repair when it does. In my opinion John Deere makes the best overall tractor if you take into account price, power, efficiency and long term repair costs.
Anybody else?
Jeans - Wrangler, although you can catch me in Levi's sometimes.
Coats - I like Carhart, but you cant beat those freebies from seed and implement companies.
Boots - Wolverine
Shirts - Dickies for work
Hats - Dont wear cowboy hats, but again, those freebie seed caps are great. My current is a Stoneville. It's the best fittin' cap I've ever worn, it's going on its 3rd season, albeit a little frayed.
Beverages - I'll stick with soft drinks for this post. Sunkist orange and Mug rootbeer.
Tractors - Case IH is my pick for current tractors, but you can't beat an old Allis Chalmers. I like the controls inside the new Case IH machines versus JD, but maybe that's just because I'm used to them. Someone mentioned a Farmall Cub - I have one of those too and it's great for the garden.
Wrangler jeans, or shorts (hey, I'm in SoCal)
Red Wing boots, (but not with shorts!)
Patagonia jackets and parka's
LS denim shirts, black or navy tee's, various Hawiian type prints
Dirty Billy felt hat, my fav while mounted up
Sprite or diet Pepsi
Allis-Chalmers (WD45)
Paint or Quarter Horse breeds
Same woman I started out with 28 years ago.

*edit*
Boy we sure are blue collar, aren't we? If I HAVE to dress-up, I actually prefer a suit. Just because it's all together and I don't have to wonder what goes with what.

Coats- Carhartt for work. Had a dickies but they don't seem to wear as long when used for work. For good I don't really care.
Boots- Justin Original work boots. Also have a pair of Georgie lace up boots for wildland firefighting, seem pretty good so far.
Shirts- Don't really care as long as it fits and looks good. Always were T-shirts for work with a flannel over top in winter.
Hats- Don't wear one. If I do it's usually a free cap I'v got. Oh, I do collect caps though, I don't know anybody in ag that doesn't

Beverages- Mountain Dew, Bargs Rootbeer, Ice Tea.
Tractors- John Deere is the best, don't have much trouble with them, and they hold resale value very well. Have a 4450 worth almost as much as it was 8 years ago when it was bought. We have a Case 2090 sort of as a small jobs tractor, alright but behind the times compared to JD of the same year. Also have two Allis Chalmers WD-45 for mowing and the such, good little old tractors

Other than that, I can't think of anything...clothing is basically on an affordability basis, same with cars and trucks. Yard equipment? Hah. My yard is Dust in the Wind. I prefer UPS over Fed-Ex, and I wont wear anything made by Hilfiger or Abercrombie and Fitch or Hurley or Nike or Adidas.
