Keyless Entry?
I was wondering if the keyless entry will unlock the vehicle while it is running. I am getting the original code off the security module today or tomorrow, but its cold out so I don't want to do it outside. The reason I am asking is in the cold mornings when I start my truck up, I will let it warm up for a short period of time, but sometimes I may go back in my house for a minute or two depending on how cold it is. Normally I carry 2 keys, so when I come back outside I can open my truck and drive. I was wondering if the keyless entry would work if the vehicle was running.

On your 2000 you may be able to just hit the lock button and close the door. The auto unlock feature with the vehicle running came along over time (not sure where the break off is - my '99 didn't have it, my '03 and 04 do). If you do have the auto unlock you can just hit the 7 and 9 keys on the door pad at the same time to lock it.
