Keyless entry bypass

I am trying to bypass the factory keyless entry so I can use the remote for my new alarm. After I unplug the keyless entry module and wire everything up it doesn't work. The problem is that when I unplug the factory module there is no juice going to the switch in the door. Is this because the battery saver is part of the factory module? If so can I just splice the input and output wires for the battery saver together? Will this run power to the switch in the door? Or is there somewhere else in the circuit I can splice in a 12V wire?

If I am way off please let me know,
Thanks for any help

On the stock keyless unit there should be 2 wires that you can probe with a test light and get the door locks to lock/unlock. Tap your new alarm door lock wires directly to those and avoid needing relays as they are built into the stock unit. Unless there is some reason (not working at all) to bypass your stock unit?
