I think I have the flu. All that baby kissing and grandma hugging I had to do this weekend, I suppose. But so far the vaccine I got last month is helping to keep it at a low level.

That shot really works each year for me.

Baby-kissing will do it to you. Not-so-much grandma-hugging. When I worked as maintenance for a chain of child day-care centers, I never had such poor health. A lot of strep. Those places are cesspools of human pathogens.

But, I can't recall getting the flu for maybe twenty years. Colds, yes. Influenza, no.

I think old people are carriers of disease. I've noticed they are always dying of something.

Home for a quick bite to eat...I've actually found gainful employment for a few days supervising the excavation/forming/steel and anchor placement/concrete pour on a room addition a couple of blocks from home.

Sorta, but there wasn't much shovel work happening today...just a backhoe, and I'm not about to try holding one of those up.
