thats a good pic marv. you see it now across the street is a housing developement. but the overlook is still there. and down below that is the sandy river.
Across the street, when the photo was taken, was an old, large house for sale. It would have been ideally converted to a B&B, as the setting was ideal for one.
The asking price at the time was well-beyond our means, or my wife might have had us living in Sandy today!
Accent on the 2nd syllable...I've never heard it pronounced any other way.

I have heard Tool-Air quite a bit. That seems like the second most common way. I'm pretty sure I have heard Ta-Larry as well. But I would ask, if you pronounce it that way, how do you pronounce Tule fog or Tule Elk?
well how ever you say it, im sure people will know what your talking about, im going to have to ask my grandfather how to pronounce it now. i was in Tulare today.
