I would not recommend doing this mod without gauges to monitor EGTs. You are adding extra fuel and slightly advancing injection timing by modding ICP.

I will not be attempting this. Guages are next on my list with my DP. Too much invested to eff up my truck with somethin like that.

DP-Tuner can flash your truck PCM for $75 but that is 1 tune only. I would do that before I do any of these "cheap" mods. IMO, it is like people cranking the distributor a few degrees up. Well, here there is plenty of improvement, there it might ping. I would usually keep my timing stock and have it set at the chip level.

Wait a minute. The way i see this done is different then I did it... I just split one wire and resisted it right their. you can do 10K resistor all the way up to a 26.5k and it ran fine. Even though you resist differently is it the same thing??
