I bought an IPR valve for my 2004. The new IPR is a Delphi HTV102. It looks like the Alliant valve with the Edge filter. My original IPR does not have an Edge filter. The two IPR valves look identical except for the screen. I can't find any info on a Delphi IPR. I'm not sure if it will work or not. Any ideas??
I went back to the diesel store and the guy tells me that it will work. He says that Delphi is back servicing the 2003/04 with the 2005-2007 model. I'm still skeptical, all of the other manufacturers list different IPRs for the two usages.
UPdate - DON'T DO IT!! the 2005 IPR ran find in mine for about two months. It failed to start this morning and I had to replace the 2005 IPR with a 2004. I knew better than to use the 2005, but I was down for the weekend and the guy 'promised' it would work. But, something good did come out of it, I'm getting a lot faster at replacing it!!
I just replaced mine on my 05. I picked it up from my International dealership, part number 1846057C1 for $172.
The funny thing is the guy never asked for the year model or anything. I just asked him if the IPR valves were the same between the 6.0 and the VT365 and he cross referenced them and said they were and I bought it.
Everything's running well, I hope I don't run in to your situation.

Its possible you just got a bad IPR and it's not the year difference that caused the issue. If it was wrong, it wouldn't have worked fine for two months.
