Okay tightening the battery cable seems to have fixed it. Been driving around, glow plug codes are not coming back. but have 2 new ones p132b and p1000 do not think there bad, but who knows
P1000 is just an indication of the battery being disconnected - no issue.
P132B is a code related to the calibration from the recall 06E17. It means that there is a problem with the VGT system. P132B is a fault code that is set if the required boost levels are not achieved during a learn cycle or at specific speed fuel demand points. This code indicates that there are issues with the turbocharger, MAF sensor, MAP sensor/hose, IAT2 sensor, intake leaks, or exhaust leaks, etc. Aftermarket air systems can also be the cause.
Very interested in this thread. My truck(05) also has P0600 & P0671. It is a pain to start below 50 degrees. I have to plug it in nightly this time of year. I'm thinking the pass. side glow plugs are not working, maybe none of them. I have replace GPCM.
Welcome to FTE, I had all the glow plug codes, because i forgot to tighten a cable. which i lost all of them, didnt start real easy. Okay you have 671, that is only one glow plug. seems to me 1 shouldnt cause that much of a problem. the 600 is not a glow plug code. I wish i could help more but dont know that much about these things. Try a new post telling about your codes, there are some really smart people here to help
....... If you were not getting alternator power during the glow plug cycle, you could have had a serious low voltage problem.
Just an FYI David......
The alternator does NOT come on during the glowplug cycle to keep from seriously stressing it. That's another reason for good batteries and battery maintenance, not to mention FICM health.
