Curious if anyone has idea on cleaning out the cups... Got a couple that are have some carbon from some faulty copper rings and curious as a good way to clean them without gunking up my cylinder....
I had the same problem and is what I did was soak a rag in unleaded fuel and twisted it around the cup until the soot was gone. The unleaded dissolves the soot and if a little dissolved soot gets into the cylinder I don't think it will hurt anything.
We used a bottle brush, a dental pick and and some brake cleaner on mine the other day. I went ahead and changed the oil after we got the injectors in and the truck running good.
I did the unleaded fuel soaked rag in my injector cups and followed it up with a bottle brush and those cups that were carboned up look dang near clean minus a few spots. Hopefully now my copper washers will get a good seat on the bottom of the cups now. Thanks for the suggestions!

I can vividly remember the last time I purchased Leaded gas, I put 45 gallons in my 1968 F250 camper special, handed the guy 2 twenty dollar bills and got change back...I was all of 18.
