Acetone Emblems?

I have heard a lot of talk about acetoned emblems lately.What does this do exactly.

Acetone Emblems?

Acetone will take the paint and shiny 'chrome' off of your emblems. Its a very thin layer and the acetone will eat right through it. The effect you get is a dull billet type look. If you look around the net you will see that the billet emblems go from $20-$35, and sometimes more. Its alot cheaper and looks pretty damn close.

Acetone Emblems?

I acetoned all of my emblems and they turned out great!!The acetone will not take off the shine and make it dull.It will only take off the black and the red "XLT" that is on there.They will be as shiny as the "F250 or F350" that is on there already.
