So when I ordered the truck, the dealer told me that I'd have the 2" receiver, but now I'm doubting that. The only thing the window sticker mentions is the 11500# GVWR package. It doesn't mention anything else. Anyway to tell from the window sticker in case I missed something?
I have the 2.5" receiver and need a 4" riser with a 2 5/16 ball. B&W only does 2". I have the reducing sleeve but I have very little room to spare in my garage. Even with the ball turned around, how much does the DT hitch protrude from the reciever? Any thoughts on the DT compared to B&W ?? I like the DT locking features but not looking forward to having to grind my receiver to make it fit. Was that an isolated incident?? Seems like it.
My new truck came in yesterday and they shipped it with a 2.5" to 2" adapter from the factory. I told the dealer that it better be there when I pick it up. I have been thinking about it all afternoon and I think I will go back and pull it out..... Would hate to lose it...
I have a 2.5" hitch,, just cut a piece of 2" box steel, drilled a coup[le of 5/8 holes, works great. You do need a longer locking pin, non locking pin worked OK.

I can't remember the exact option number but I think it is 53C. It might be listed as "12.5K Trailer Hitch" on the sticker. Keep in mind if you order it as the 12.5K, you lose the higher rating of the 2.5 inch. It is more than just the hole size.
