Even a single belt will not squeak unless it is glazed, incorrectly sized, or improperly tensioned. And a larger pulley typically has no effect on the issue either.

I agree with silver on that point. A larger pulley typically reduces the amount of output voltage.

Just wondering, I have 1977 f150 with swapped 460 in. I would like to upgrade alternator, can I use the alternator and wiring out of a 2001 f150, which I have one setting in back yard totaled out.
