need quick help with transmission fluid

2005 F250 SD w/5.4l v8....calls for mercon sp? Can a little mercon V work as a substitute to top it off?

Fluid does not currenty touch the stick.

No. Mercon SP and Mercon V are not compatible.

It will ruin the solenoids and cost a lot of money to fix.

You can use Mercon SP or Mercon LV only, not Mercon or Mercon V.
