Choosing a Trans Fluid
Hi all,
I need to change my transmisison fluid and all of the help articles I read say to use MERCON, not MERCON V or a dual MERCON and MERCON V rated fluid. All I can find at my local AutoZone that's not MERCON V is DEXRON/MERCON. Is this ok, or should I search for straight MERCON only?

Choosing a Trans Fluid
I was told by my Ford Dealer NOT to use Mercon V for my E40D Only use Dexron/Mercon III and no higher. Merc V is formulated differently.
Mercon V is for the AOD/AODE/4R70W etc.. I have Merc V in my 94 GT and Merc III in my 96 4X4 E4OD
