H.I.D's

Does anyone know the bulb type to install HID's to a 2005 Ford F350?

I want to install HID's to the head lights and to the fog lights.

Does anyone know the bulb types for both? Also where did you guys mount the ballasts for both headlights and fog lights?

I have ordered some for my other cars from DDM tuning and plan to get more for my f350.

Where did everyone buy theirs at?

also on the DDMtuning website it asks for either h13 or 9007 hi/low.

I think I need a 9007 hi low.

It also asks if I need a dual in/ dual out hid harness?
And do I need an error eliminator type 3 or type 5.

This is Greek to me!

wish i would have found that site before, the set i bought is pretty nice though with a 2 year warranty, i got 8k for the headlights and 6k for the fogs.

You dont really need the hi/lo unless you really want to blind people or your just blind at night.

Which one was the one for the headlights? H13 or 9008?

I run 6000K HIDs for my heads and fogs.
05-07's H13 (or 9008)
9145 for fogs.

I personally like the look of 5000k's or 6000k's, anything higher than that seams too blue for my taste.

Yes: the 5000k is NON-Blue, 6000k just a hint of blue
NO: they are probably not 50 state legal (this is where LOTS of people get worked up and start yelling at their computers)

I have the DDM HID's in my truck and thy are OK for the $
I put Retro Solutions kit in the wife's van and they are a lot nicer kit for a little more $

You can also put 9006 in place of the 9145's for the fog's and get more light.

Is 55 watt too much for the headlights? I know they would get too hot for the fog lights.

Also where would you mount the ballasts for the fog lights?

No I have 55 watt in both the headlight and fogs and have no problems.
I mounted the ballasts to the fog light bracket behind the bumper and they have bin fine.

I'm running 35 watt units, but mounted my fog ballasts exactly where you did. Even through the blizzards, been fine.

I also converted my Fisher plow gear to 35 watt HIDs. Mounted the ballasts right inside the light buckets.
