Head Location Dowel pin?

Hello all,

Kinda messed up one of the dowel pins when I took it out of the head, anyone know the best place to get a new one fairly quickly?

Thanks!

I replaced all of mine with 5/8" steel dowel that I got from napa. I had to cut the length down to size but it worked fine.

Doesn't a head bolt run through these?

Of course. That's why it's tubular with a hole through the center for the bolt to pass.

We're not dealing with wood here! They are refered to dowels in the industry.

I don't recall the exact part # but that one looks like it. Bring in your old one and match it up. That one you posted appears to be the right size.
