Ford Bronco Spotted In The Wild Dancing In The Sand
The Second-Best Way To Get Sand In Your Shorts
After what feels like a decade of teases, rumors, and half-truths, the all-new 2021 Ford Bronco is officially here. We showed you what Ford got right. We talked about the company using advanced tech to make off-road navigation easier. Of course, we also gave you all the photos and details we could find of this sexy new Jeep-killer. One thing we missed through all this magic was actual footage of the new Bronco in the wild.
We don’t want doctored press video. We don’t want a commercial full of jump cuts and mall traffic. We want an actual video of an actual Bronco out in the wild getting dirty and having fun. That video has now arrived, and we love it. Mike Levine is part of Ford’s media and PR team, and he posted a pair of short videos to his personal Instagram account over the weekend.
The shots come from a public sand dune (looks like Silver Lake perhaps?) where lots of other trucks and off-road toys are enjoying their weekend. And through the middle of it all comes a bright orange Ford Bronco just bouncing through the sand and causing a ruckus. It’s so beautiful we want to cry. Jeeps, trucks, and side-by-sides are left behind as the Bronco charges up the hill like a drunk college kid charging to a fresh plate of nachos.
The terrain isn’t that hard to climb, and the video is too short to give us any information on how well Ford’s rebooted legend will handle the tough stuff. That said, it is nice to know that someone is getting a chance to put the Bronco through real-world testing and joy rides. If you watch closely you will also see that the Bronco in question is wearing a GoPro camera on the top of its windshield. We can’t find any of that footage online yet, but we hope to see that surface soon. We need to see what that dune climb looks like from the driver seat.
If it doesn’t hit YouTube soon, it might hit Levine’s Instagram like this video did. We are keeping our eyes peeled, and we will let you know as soon as we find it. We know that you need to see that footage just as badly as we do.
