As mass shootings grow ever more present, don’t you think it’s time that the rest of the population is in up armored troop transports? But maybe more utilitarian and less militaristic? Well, look no further than U.S. Specialty Vehicles and their Rhino GX.

This is the same outfit that is already bringing back the Hummer HX concept from a few years ago using heavily modified Jeeps. Essentially, the Rhino GX is a Ford Super Duty that’s been effectively turned into an MRAP for civilian use.

The exterior is made from dual layers of 20-gauge steel and the interior is definitely, let’s just say interesting? The standard Rhino GX costs around $150,000, but after added a bunch of available options, you’re looking closer to $200,000. A bargain if you think the world is coming to an end in the coming weeks, but not exactly a normal grocery getter. In comparison, the MRAP costs $1,000,000 a piece, so on that note, it’s a hell of a deal.

What do you all think? Is this Ford Super Duty conversion ready for the inevitable zombie apocalypse?
