We’re getting closer and closer to the reveal and debut of the new Ford Raptor. Of course we saw what the truck will most likely look like at this year’s Detroit Auto Show.

However, since the truck won’t officially go on sale until 2017, a lot can change over the course of a few years. Now though, there are new pictures of the truck involved in high altitude testing in Colorado.

As you can see from the spy photos, this is definitely the upcoming Raptor. It features the same type of Raptor wheels found on the previous generation, the new Raptor’s front grille, and widened front wheel arches for loads of suspension travel.

According to Ford, the new Raptor will feature a similar 3.5-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 that’s found in the upcoming Ford GT. Except this truck will have at least 450 horsepower and around 440 lb-ft of torque.

However, there are those out there that are already tuning versions of this motor to well over 600 horsepower. We can’t wait to see what Ford has in store for the new Raptor, we just wish it was closer to 2017.
