I have a built 7.3 in a 99.5 F-250 that has a problem. it won't start. when the ke is on all the lights light up but when I turn the key to start, nothing, no click, nothing at all. I tested the batteries as it started acting like they were dying/dead it started when jumped just fine batteries are good tested the starter and it and the solenoid are fine the solenoid on the firewall was replaced as well. the fuse is fine and now I am stumped as to where to go from here
could the chip bee bad? I am at a complete loss here and any help is deeply appreciated

 

I got it figured out guys
it was the starter solenoid that prevented it from starting. I took it to O'Reilllys and they said it tested good and that both the starter and the solenoid were good yet when I re-installed it I noticed that the plastic wiggled(?) a little when I was reattaching the connections.I tested everything else that I thought it could be and went ahead and replaced the starter and she fired right up. I took the starter back to O'Reilllys and they explained that if the starter turned and the solenoid kicked the gear to the engaged position that it would pass regardless if it would work in the vehicle.
just thought I would let everyone know that the problem was solved!!
