‘Pistol Packin’ Mama’: 1969 Ford F-100 Makes for One Memorable Classified Ad
Traditional Hot Rod Motors beautifully showcases classic fifth generation Ford F-series truck in a for-sale ad that would make Spielberg envious.
If there is a better truck-for-sale ad than the clip of this stunning two-tone Ford F-100, we ain’t seen it. Set to the instantly likeable country track “The Way I Talk” by Morgan Wallen, the clip is featured on Traditional Hot Rod Motors‘ YouTube page, the Hot Rod Dirtys. It features beautifully shot clips of a 1969 Ford F-100 truck–aka “Pistol Packin’ Mama”– travelling down country roads, kicking up dust into a changing landscape that smoothly segues from dusk to dawn.
Along the way, the sleek Ford truck is shown in a walk-around segment that details every inch of the truck’s exterior, with the soft blue paint job that covers the top half of the vehicle melding seamlessly with the backdrop of a stunning blue sky. We also get to see “Pistol Packin’ Mama” with its original headlights turned on, which makes you long for the days of simple things like stock headlights that do the job and look great without being a nuisance to passing drivers. Then again, pretty much everything about this blast from Ford’s past is pretty awesome.

California Truck Is Ready for its Close-up
The fifth generation Ford F-Series trucks were produced from the 1967 to 1972 model years, with the 1969 Ford F-100 truck featuring a couple design flourishes and a new 302 Windsor V8 option. Showcasing the truck in various speed settings on and off the backroads was a smart move by Hot Rod Dirtys. Because of the soft earth tones of the rural backdrop, the two tone Ford F-100 truck’s soft blue and white coat really stands out and lets you appreciate the subtle but stellar color scheme. Although we do not get to see much of the interior, the video summary mentions that this sweet Blue Oval relic is “original down to the floor mats” and has “zero rust.”
The clip of the California truck has amassed over 2,000 views and includes an equally head-turning co-star in the guise of a Carrie Underwood clone in Daisy Dukes and cowboy boots who provides some extra eye candy and an added country vibe to the entertaining for-sale video.

The Hot Rod Dirtys clip for the 1969 Ford vehicle mentions that the F-100 truck sports a 360 Big Block with automatic transmission, and the Ranger Package. Even better, it reportedly has low miles. Sounds perfect. No price is mentioned. But we’d sell our plasma for this truck!
