1995 Ford F-150 Rollback

For a bargain price, you can score a classic Ford rollback pickup with few issues and lots of life left in it.

Oftentimes, we tend to forget that trucks are (or at least used to be) built for one purpose – to get work done. Things like aesthetics and cosmetics don’t matter much, and take a clear backseat to capability and reliability. So when we came across this cool old 1995 Ford F-450 rollback pickup up for sale in the Ford Truck Enthusiasts Marketplace, it served as a nice reminder of where we came from.

And that, lest we forget, is a world where we need a truck we can rely on. Day in and day out. In this case, that’s a Ford pickup that can haul vehicles from point A to point B multiple times a day, without suffering from any sort of issues. And this truck looks like it’s done plenty of that in its life, with quite a bit of life left ahead for it, too.

This particular Ford packs a 14-foot Danco rollback mounted in the rear. One that can easily slide back and tilt for easy loading. The F-450 itself uses a 460 V8 for power, which flows through a 5-speed manual transmission. Pretty much everything is said to function perfectly, save for a few minor niggles. The biggest appears to be the bed’s wooden floor, which needs a little work or perhaps total replacement.

According to the seller, the dual fuel tanks aren’t currently switching properly, and there’s a crack in the windshield. The A/C needs to be charged, and the clutch and brake pedal need new bushings. Otherwise, this classic Ford is said to run and drive perfectly. Even the interior is in pretty good shape, which is atypical for an old work truck. The tires, brakes, and lighting are all in solid condition as well.

So for the low asking price of $5,600, this F-450 looks like a solid deal. Especially if you’re someone who needs a pickup capable of hauling vehicles (or other stuff) frequently. You certainly won’t find a much cheaper flatbed/rollback, and definitely not one as cool as this ’90s Ford. No restoration, fancy paint job, or leather interior required!
