4 Ford Trucks That Have Gained Significant Value Recently
These four Ford trucks have gained a significant amount of value lately.
Going Up
While classic trucks were largely ignored by collectors for many years, that began to change - in a big way - not terribly long ago. However, early pickups aren't the only ones that have skyrocketed in value over the past few years, and in fact, we've seen newer models from the 90s and even 2000s begin to get more expensive as well. Thus, we decided to take a look at Hagerty's most recent valuations to determine which newer Ford trucks have gained the most value as of late.

1978 Ford F-250
1970s Ford trucks have been the apple of collectors' eyes for some time now, but recently, the 1978 F-250 model, in particular, has seen its value explode. Just last year, this particular model - in four-wheel-drive guise - averaged around $31,200 in value, but that has risen by a whopping 12.2 percent year-over-year, to $35,000.

Then there's the 1975 F-150, which trails the 1978 F-250 ever so slightly after gaining 12.1 percent in value between 2023 and 2024 - going from $19,800 to $22,200 over that time span. Finding an original model in excellent condition will cost you even more, however, as those nicer examples have gotten 15.7 percent pricier.

1983 Ford F-350
Moving into the 1980s, we have an interesting one worth seeking out - the 1983 Ford F-350, a workhorse that has seen its values rise by 9.7 percent - from $15,500 a year ago to $17,000 today. That price is low enough, however, that there's certainly still some meat on the proverbial bone, we imagine.

1999 Ford F-150 SVT Lightning
Finally, we have a slightly more obvious collectible in the 1999 Ford F-150 SVT Lightning, which has gained 8.1 percent in value over the course of the past year, going from $31,000 to $33,500. Given how special these trucks are - coupled with the limited number that remain out there - we wouldn't be surprised to see that number continue to climb, however.
