search on that. Somebody on this forum had a fix for that. You spray WD-40 or something thin like that into the port where the Switch is located.
I cant remember the details but several guys said it worked.
Take WD40 and open the door then spray the latch on the door in every direction with the plastic tube on the WD40 to get in there really good. After you've hosed it down slam the door half a dozen times. Do the other side as well.

My wife's old Sable would do this every year or two, and the WD-40 would fix it every time...it's a "design feature" of Ford latches...
