well, it wouldnt have bothered me except for that it would beep any time the key is in and the door was open even when the truck was running, and it was annoying when i hd my doors opend listening to music while i was working
Mine was disconnected but I plugged it back in cause I had a nasty habit of leaving my lights on. Luckily it only dings when my lights are on and doors are opem, not just when my door is open.
I got one out of Lincoln town car because. Because I have a white truck and you will not believe how many time I get pull out in front of . So I run lights all time . I know it would be easier to wire them so come on when started but I like the key in ignition thing I have a bad habit of leaving them in. ( I don't lock it )
pulled the buzzer on my 99 cougar and woke up the next morning batt was dead turns out it pulling it tells the car the trunk is open. think the did this on purpose so you won't pull it out
I pulled mine and the next morning I had battery trouble. I have assumed it was coincidental but reading rdz's post makes me wonder. I have a '95 Eddie Bauer Ext. cab and I'm wondering if there might be somthing on it that made it pull the battery down. I was about to pull it again until I read rdz's post.
I wonder if it would be hard to figure out which particular wires on the plug go to the "door open" notification so we could leave the "lights on" notice intact.
at first i thought it was the pin switch but their wasn't one in the trunk. took me a couple days to figure it out first i pulled the bulb out but the indecater still said the trunk was open after i put the buzzer back in it was fixed i've pulled out lots before but this was the first to give me any trouble
