what did you mean how much light is related ??
I got Jody on the phone and he thought it might be an RF interference issue. So I pulled the cable back down so it's away from the headlight switch - no change.
I wrapped the entire cable in aluminum foil to shield it more - no change.
So when I turn on the parking lights no problem, but when i turn the headlights on, the truck just dies.
Unless somebody knows anything else it could be, guess the DP tuner comes out

Holy cow i fixed it !!!!
I retraced my steps to think of EVERYTHING i did to do the install. Well near my master cylinder my installed had mounted the alarm system horn. There is a bolt (8mm head) that's just above the M/C. Just for grins, I took the speaker off and put the wires back and got it really tight and it WORKED. I'm guessing that big black wire off it runs to the PCM ???
So i took it completely loose, truck runs without headlights, dies with. So I guess that has to be it !!! man do I feel STUPID !!!
Either way now everything is fine !!! .. so now I can finish the control box mount and get done !

Very interesting -- my truck started doing that when I switched to HID headlights. Turn on the headlights, truck would stall. I even got a couple PCM resets (Gauges went full-sweep then back to zero, and I lost my trip mileage). I didn't ground the power supply to the driver-side light (being lazy). They have mounting brackets -- passenger side was bolted right to the fender wall, driver-side was stuck in the plastic battery/air box housing with some padding. When I grounded that supply, no more problems.
Just goes to show you that the simplest things can bite you in the ****... ESPECIALLY grounding... I was torqued when I realized how simple the fix was (and how dumb I was ).
