Question on shackle bracket replacement

Hi FTE members, I have a new guy question about the "shackle flip" idea. I have a 90 F150 4x2. I need to replace the rear leaf brackets/hangers because they are rotted out. Can I use a set of front leaf brackets (part riveted to frame on the front of the leaf) on the shackle end (rear) of the leaf and a F450 shackle (beefier) in compression. This would seem to give a modest lift and allow the ability to carry loads. Any ideas from the "been there/done that" crowd are very welcome. Thanks to all for the great ideas at this site - I learn something new everytime I visit!

The front hanger uses a bigger through bolt, which will not pass through the rear shackle bushing.

I would just buy the shackle flip from sky-manufacturing for $119.95. It comes with all the hardware you need just paint it. they are real beefy hangers too.
