Unhappy 1996 F150 2wd leaf spring bushings

My truck had some sick rot on the rear leaf spring hangers and shackles, so I bought all replacement parts and was ready to put em on when I found out I got the wrong bushings and shackles. I must have 4wd shackles and bushings... anyway i got the shackles to work but I need new bushings.... but I can't find them ANYWHERE. None of the local parts stores in the area even carry them and I have no idea why.

Does anyone know where I can get rear suspension, rear bushings? I can find bushings for the front of the rear suspension and bushings for every application for 4wd, but no rear, rear bushings for my 2wd...

Thanks in advance
Josh

LMC Truck Parts - Page 1
Page 127, it looks like. You should be able to order them from Advance Auto or Rock Auto, or get some nice performance ones from a performance parts. Here's a link to the summit page for them:

If you have the wrong parts, I wouldn't use them. Your 2wd has 2.5 inch wide springs. All other trucks from F150 4wd and larger got 3 inch wide springs.

those bushings look great, but they dont match my other bushing... my other one is a rubber/metal one, will that make a difference? or can i get the polyurethane one and have one of each?

I would like to know the same thing about the poly bushings. All the ones I have seen do not match the one on the shackle.

Hello, to clarify, you are talking about the rubber bushing on the REAR of the leaf springs, which is pressed into the spring, not the bushing? Measure the width of you springs. Where are you located? I ran into this problem about 2 or 3 years ago. I had to get mine from a local spring shop, they had them on hand. I might have an extra one, but it will take me a day to look, I recently broke my leg and I am very limited to what I can do. If you are talking about changing the shackle bushings, get the right ones as said above. The 2.5" wide springs on the 2WD trucks make it hard to find parts store bushings.

yes sir. you were right on all accounts. I measured the old bushing and it was 3 inches long (the new bushings i had bought were 3.5) and 1 5/16 in diameter (new ones were bigger... forget measurement) so i need one that is around that size... sorry i cant be more help, that's all i know

I am in Illinois... Home is peoria, I'm at college in chicago now.

thanks in advance
