ATF question

I have a 97 f350 with the 7.3l, totally stock.

We are doing a bunch of restoring on it and I'm onto my last fluid flush, the tranny.

I've read that any mercon v will do but since everything about this truck is special, I figured I ask for your thoughts. I've heard Mobil 1 all the way to super tech is fine.

Please let me know what you think. Truck is light use btw, we picked it up with 150k on it so everything is getting flushed for new fluids because it was a plow truck.

Thanks

Mercon V is just fine. I run shaeffers all trans in my red truck, but my other one has motorcraft mercon v.

That stuff is pricey! I wiggled the price down to $200 for the 20 or so quarts I bought....

I could have filled the tranny with the O'reilly stuff for closer to $50...
