So new to the hole scanner game but not new to the diesel world. Me last f250 I had an edge monitor and loved it I now have a 2004 f250 and want to do an egr delete and sct scanner to get rid of the egr light. After I do this can I remove the scanners computer and still run a edge cts monitor?

I thought you could clear codes and turn off stuff with the edge product.
If you use a sct scanner you need to return the truck to stock tune and then install a custom tune from SCT. the scanner will download the stock tune from the factory tune. There are no buttons on the sct tuner to just go from one tune to another while driving like the edge tuner can.

 

Well the cts monitor that i had before was just that a monitor of oil pressure. Boost pressure.. Temps. And on . not really a code clearer or programmer. Thats why im wanting to know if i can set program with a sct scanner and still hook up an edge monitor

 

If there is a unit that can do both in one that would be the best. For me any insight would be much needed.
