Tuning over another tune with a different programmer?
Hello, currently im running the sct performance tune on my truck but my damn programmer quit working and I can't get the truck back to stock. I need to tow 10k this weekend so I really need the truck to be at least stick but preferably a tow tune. I have an edge programmer I use for monitoring temps but could I just override my current tune with that programmer? I know all the bad of the edge tune but it's looking like my only choice for this weekend besides getting it flashed to stock

I would call SCT and inquire.... did they ever have your stock tune code? I had pretty much the same problem but my SCT was good.... they had the numbers for my stock tune. I connected the SCT to my computer and they remotely reprogramed it for me.

If you used the edge to tune the truck, would it just download the SCT tune onto the edge thinking that's your "stock" tune and then put the edge tune in? Then if you plug the edge back in and make it "return to stock" it'd really be returning you to the SCT tune?
I'm guessing here, but that sounds pretty logical to me, though I don't know the intricacies of tuning these trucks .
