I'm looking at a truck that has an Edge Platinum, Juice and Attitude. 2003. If anybody is or has run one of these, any feedback on performance would be appreciated. Is it okay for the 6.0?
Unrealo4, it's already been installed by the present owner. Are you suggesting that I not buy the truck because of it? The truck only has 29,000 miles, 19,000 with the tuner. I'm curious what it does incorrectly that destroys transmission?
It does have a "stock" setting, which I assume means the unit is totally disabled and runs on exactly what was programmed from the factory. That can't hurt the truck, can it?
Too late, the damage is already done. Just received word from my mechanic, the head gasket(s) is(are) gone. That and a number of other issues, including a turbo hanging up, bedpan gasket leak, failed FICM test and the list goes on. Such a clean "looking" truck, but that my reasoning for letting the experts do there thing.
To answer your question about edge....
any of the shift on the fly or pcm 'foolers' do not properly program the TCM and WILL cause issues with your tranny...

If you can get them to drop another 10 grand off the price, may be a great deal!
