HPOP upgrade may or may not be needed. If your stock pump is in good condition, then you will likely be able to hold ICP just fine. If it is in not-so-good condition, a T500 would be a good upgrade.
Make sure you have your chip reburned by us if/when you upgrade injectors. You will need it since you are going from split shot to single shot, and they are a different size.
Let me know if you have any questions. I would be happy to help you out.

Like Justin said, a turbo upgrade is not necessary but would feed the injectors nicely. In addition to the 38R you could consider the van turbo (1/2 the cost) or adding a 1.0 housing and a compressor wheel upgrade to the stock turbo (a few hundred). Roland had a similar setup that worked very well for him.

hpop has 190k on it. the injectors are showing wear, it has a flutter when cold and mileage is in the gutter, only around 11 mpg.
i have talked to Jim at rosewood and he agrees the injectors need freshening up.
the reason i was asking about the 160/30's in because one of the Joiesy boys here has a set for i think he said $600, or $800
i am not looking for more power, the truck is plenty fast and strong as it is. i am looking for dependability and reliability.
the truck itself is still in good condition, so it only makes sense to have the engine in tip top condition too.

Flow testing is crucial - but not at the default WOT test. You want them to flow test the sticks at idle setting and cruise setting - that's where the engine spends more of its time and where you want optimum flow balance.
The stock injectors with a 60 HP tune can slightly exceed the performance of the stock turbo, air intake, and exhaust. Going to the IH 160s with any nozzle means you need to chip up (I had my PCM reburned to handle my injectors in the event of a chip fail), turbo up, intake up, and exhaust up.
I went with the 38R because it's a drop-in and it has roller bearings - I did not want to stay with the journal bearing. With everything breathing well (in AND out), my MAP/EBP ratio is very close to 1:1.
