i am wondering if anybody knows anything about the S/175/146 injectors from swamps diesel performance. and i was also wondering what i should expect out of them with my 2 chips stacked on top and the wicked wheel or should i upgrade the turbo bc i ain't sure the stock one with the wicked wheel in it will clean it up very quick like if at all. and if anybody know where i can get better injectors aroudn that price would APPRECIATE alot. swamps has these advertised at $1050 after core
i have also jsut found set of stage 2 injectors from beans diesel that are capable of 400 hp and r good for 120 injectors alone over stock injectors. and they r only 1580 shipped to my house after core
A more capable turbo is a good idea for anything bigger than stock injectors.
Also, take a read/search on stacking chips. If you've got a chip such as from TS performance or DP-Tuner, stacking sort of goes out of the equation as the chip will override any other programmers that are in use. You can get custom burns for whatever new injectors/turbo combo you decide on from someone like DP-Tuner.
yea thats on the wish/waiting list right now i just don't want to cough the money up on a single system bc i am planning on get towing twins someday SOON. to keep my egt's down. and to give me that extra lil somthin incase i want to hook to the sled or when i have one hell of a load behind her like normal
You'll need all new tuning anyway going from split shot to single shot injectors. Get reburns on your TS chip from either TS, or another vendor if you choose.
The stock turbo won't handle those injectors for long. Start looking at a drop in replacement such as the GTP38R or the TN BB.
TS stroker, calm down and read some, learn some. Don't think that your stacked junk is the cream of the crop. look around and read peoples opinions.
not to be a d1ck but i think some more reseraching is in order as well as Kris before starting a bunch of threads about performance this performance that
I guess I'm a little confused. Are you looking at the spli shot 175/146 or the single shot 175/146. The "s" before should mean split shot IIRC.
I have the 175/146 single shots with Tony Wildmans Tuning & the VAn Turbo. Great setup IMO. Love how she runs, fast & pulls hard without the SES light coming on. Trying to get it on the dyno soon to see what the numbers might yield..... Love how it pulls the 31' 5th wheel....
all i kno is a buddy of mine as a truck identical to mine but automactic with a dp on it and i can out pull him, race, and i get better fuel econmy then he does with just my ts on 140hp and his turned up on 140. but it might be driver there to bc i can make my 6spd sound like a auto driving down the road. but i ain't goin to get a dp jsut the fact that i paid around the same price for my 2 that i would have for a dp now if anybody would kno anybody wanting to by them my ts is burned to a 6spd so if a auto owner wants it it cost 50 buck to have ts burn it and my dfuser 140 is universal it just plugs into the icp and oil pressure sensor and a wire to the gas pedal. but until somebody wants them i ain't getting rid of them bc the r puttin me round 350hp rear wheels and 725lbs rear wheels stock clutch, turbo and all so i can't comeplan none especially since my hpop won't allow me to turn the defuser wide open.
and a twin turbo set-up is not hard to make me and a buddy of mine just built one for his 97 12valve in about 4 days. and rich r those 175/146 injectors that good, do they make much of a difference bc i looked at those to but wasn't sure to get the single shots or shplit shots.
