Saginaw pump is in. Luxury living!

It was difficult to find the pressure hose, but I went thru the buyers guide at NAPA, and found only one that has the right fittings(3/8 male inverted flare and 5/16 male inverted flare). Going from manual steering to this is absolutely wonderful!
The pump and bracket is from an early 80s E150.

This is what the pressure hose looked like before I bent it to work with my setup:

I did not buy the part from them, it was just an online image search for that part number(GATES 355550).

I picked up a full Saginaw pump and everything I need to swap mine over to it.
Haven't done it yet though.

I upgraded my Bronco from the stock Ford unit to the Saginaw, and it was a night and day difference.
I can't imagine going from manual steering to one!
Nice work.

I can get a steering gear from an '82 F150 but I'm not sure if it will swap into my 66 F100. I understand my steerinng shaft will be too long and I'm willing to have it shortened but I don't know if the gear will swap in there or if I need something from am earlier model. I checked out the Tech Article on the Fordification site but it onlt mentions swapping in gears up to 1979. I don't know if that means you can't use one from years beyond then.

Right, only up to 79 fits a 65-79. Mine is from a 75 F100. The column is from a 74 F250(manual trans).
Saginaw box, Saginaw pump, and next up is hydrobooost. I just ordered a slew of parts to do a disc swap, and Astro van hydroboost. Then, shave the head to up the compression. Final step is a ZF5 swap.

Thanks. I guess I'll track down the parts from a 70s truck then. I also have a standard column shift
thanks.

80 and newer will not work, as they are designed to sit in front of the axles.

I will be going with a saginaw pump in 80. It came already mounted to the cummins diesel. I can't wait to see the difference.
