My question about the I/C setup is, is it worth the money to do this if i install a chip, intake and exhaust? I dont haul anything and i do mostly city driving and some highway driving on the weekends and its mostly flat roads.
Like others have said, it's not worth it unless you tow or will be upgrading your injectors. I have intake, exhaust, and chip and I can't get up to 1200°F unless I'm towing. I do plan on getting stage 1's soon, so the intercooler is next on my list.
ah OK, ya I don't plan on getting stage 1`s for quite some time have to save up for them but I will plan on also saving up for an intercooler setup also, thanks for the info.
Take this for what its worth only reason I installed mine. The lower the egts are in the engine the more use you will get out of it. As in performance and durability
Don't bother with the IC until you upgrade injectors. The IC will lower EGTs and help make a little more power, but it is a good bit of work for minimal benefit. If you aren't towing or getting in any situations where EGTs become a problem, the IC is not worth the hassle IMO.
