I just rebuilt a E40D for my 97 F-Superduty and installed it. The tranny feels like it has no engagement as I cycle through the gears. I put in a tugger kit and installed a new torque converter. I dont know where to look to start and make this thing move. Plz Help!

 

If it's 4x4, put the four wheel drive shifter in gear. If it's not, you made a mistake somewhere. The auto guys will be along shortly.

 

There are so many places that you could have gone wrong to cause this...

Start with the easy ones. How much fluid did you put in it? Is the internal filter installed correctly? Is there pressure at the test port? How much pressure?

 

Did you rebuild it or a shop ?
