SS Window vents?? Install issues
So I purchased a set of Rain vents.
for my 1979 F250
I wanted to know who has installed them?
Can you post a pic of screws installed?
Need some guidance thanks everyone
Directions seem unclear to me on spot to drill
Here they are
And the best part the hardware is china junk zinc coated steal. So off to buy ss screws form store.

yes you need to drill 3 small holes per the instructions in the kit to install the retaining screws. If you roll the window down without them they will simply fall off. I just installed some so I recommend getting them where you want and install the center screw first then each end Keeps it centered and allows you to pull each end up tight to the door

X2 on yes you have to drill 3 holes, or use small self tapping screws in your upper/top door frame. Test fit and make sure you want them, because that is a nice truck even without them. And use some clear RTV/ sealant of some sort (on the screws) before you install them.
I am not near my truck or I would get you some pics.

i just installed EGR in channel today on my '12 Screw and love the way they look. however, the fronts are bit of a pain because the new trucks have one touch front windows and when the window gets in a bind it will roll half way back down. so you have to use the normal power window mode, not the one touch mode.

And those screws were always coated steel, never ss, if it worries you put some sealer in holes and on srew threads. Mine has had them since near new, no issues.
