Sounds like stones in the hubcap?
Oddest thing. No complaints about the driveability of the truck, runs great, drives/stops straight, etc.
However, when driving really slow (<3 mph), and I put the window down it sounds like I can hear what sounds like stones in a hubcap. Sound seems like its coming from wheel area, not sure where. Not very loud, have to turn radio off, put window down to hear it.
Anyone heard of this? Just had tires rotated about 1000mi ago at the dealership, they checked brake pad thickness(about 50% left).

I had that same thing happen this spring after driving thru a water hole while four-wheelin. I assumed it was a small rock or the like in the front caliper area. Same scenario to hear it. I chased that ghost for a month or better. There were times when the noise seemed to come from the transfer case area more than the front brakes. Wife could hear it too. I would drive down a forest service road at 2 mph with the door open and hanging out trying to isolate the noise. Never did find it, no issues yet. Radio is back up to proper listening level and I've moved on. I still think I had a rock where it didn't belong.

just throwing out things... best YOU just look at it to find it as the dealership would probably chuckle behind your back
does it coincide with one revolution of the tire or more frequent or less frequent ?
is it possibly something wrapped around a rotating part and slapping something at low speeds, but spinning to fast at higher speeds ?

This same thing happened to me a couple weeks ago. I was rolling slow through the cemetary for my grandmas funeral and everyone is pointing to my front wheel. I rolled down the window and heard what they all were hearing. Clicking from the hub cap area, sounded like a rock in there.
Turns out it was below freezing that day, had just washed the truck that morning, water in the hub cap turned to ice and broke loose in the hub cap and there ya go, just a piece of ice. Made a heck of a racket in there.
